Urgent Request for Advocation: West Papuans Political Prisoners Mr. Buchtar Tabuni, Mr. Agus Kossay & Friends Were Taken to Jakarta without the Knowledge of their Legal lawyers

We call attention to all parties for this situation, and also ask for advocacy for West Papuans Political Prisoners, namely Mr. Buchtar Tabuni, Mr. Agus Kossay, Mr. Steven Itlay, Mr. Ferry Gombo, Mr. Alexander Gobai, Mr. Hengky Hilapok and Mr. Irwanus Uropmabin.

We Receive a report directly from their Legal Lawyer Mr. Kustaf Kawer that the Indonesian Police transfer Papuan Political prisoners whom we mentioned above to Jakarta or Kalimantan, without the knowledge of the lawyers.

Deputy Chairperson II of the Legislative of ULMWP Mr. Buctar Tabuni and General Chairperson of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) Mr. August Kossay and  their friends had been dispatched to Jakarta this morning.

The purpose of departure is not clear whether it was sent to Jakarta or sent to East Kalimantan? The legal lawyer was surprised, because the investigator ​contacted via mobile phone this morning after Mr. Bucthar Tabuni and Agus Kossay with their friends at the airport in Sentani, Papua or before boarding the plane.

After that, the legal lawyer Mr. Kustaf Kawer was ontacted to the police investigator, but the police investigator's cell phone was out of reach because it maybe on the plane.

In accordance with the Criminal Code (KUHP) of Indonesian, a suspect is transferred by the decision of a prosecutor and or judge not at the initiative of the police.

So far, the file of examination by Mr. Bucthar Tabuni from the Jayapura District Attorney's Office, Papua has not been P21.

By looking at this situation, we also appeal to the International Community to take urgent advocacy actions, and call on all UN member states to immediately intervene on the situation in Papua.

Kami minta perhatian oleh semua pihak atas situasi ini, dan juga mohon advokasi terhadap para Tahanan Politik yaitu Tuan Buchtar Tabuni, Tuan Agus Kossay, Tuan Steven Itlay, Tuan Ferry Gombo, Tuan Alexander Gobai, Tuan Hengky Hilapok dan Tuan Irwanus Uropmabin. 

Kami Terima laporan oleh Kuasa Hukum mereka yaitu Tuan Kustaf Kawer bahwa Polisi Indonesia pindahkan para tahanan Politik Papua yang Kami sebutkan nama mereka di atas ke Jakarta atau ke Kalimantan, tanpa diketahui Oleh kuasa Hukum. 

Silakan ikuti pecan sing at yang telah dikirim kepada Kami Oleh Kuasa Hukum dibawah ini:

Wakil Ketua II Legislatif ULMWP Tuan Buctar Tabuni dan Ketua Umum KNPB Tuan Agustus Kossay pagi ini telah diberangkatkan Ke Jakarta. 

Tujuan Keberangkatan tidak jelas apakah dikirim ke Jakarta atau dikirim ke Kalimantan Timur? Kuasa hukum kaget, karena Panyidik menelpon tadi pagi setelah Tuan Bucthar Tabuni dan Agus Kossay dibandara Sentani, Papua atau sebelum naik pesawat. 

Setelah itu Kuasa Hukum kontak balik penyidik anggota Polisi itu, namun HP penyidik Polisi sudah di luar jangkauan mungkin karena dalam pesawat. 

Sesuai dengan KUHP, Seseorang tersangka dipindahkan atas putusan Jaksa dan atau Hakim bukan atas inisiatif Polisi. 

Sejauh ini, Berkas Pemeriksaan Tuan Bucthar Tabuni dari Kejaksaan Negeri Jayapura, Papua belum P21. 

Dengan melihat situasi ini, maka kami juga mohon kepada Masyarakat Internasional untuk melakukan tindakan advokasi yang mendesak, dan serukan kepada semua Negara anggota PBB agar PBB segera melakukan intervensi atas situasi yang memburuk di Papua.  

Demikian info pagi ini. Mohon advokasi oleh semua pihak, dan  kita bersatu untuk lawan ketidak adilan ini.
